On the orkut side, things are getting quite interesting. Using orkut as an organizing principle, I've been able to make contact with many people who I had fallen out of touch with (usually they switch email addresses or work situations).

In a way, orkut is a way to visualize your Karass. If you don't know what a Karass is, read more Vonnegut or uze google dood.

After years of wading through unsatisfactory contact management nightmares, I'm giving orkut.com a try. Since its backed by Google, I figure it will stick around.

Now there's an idea, let the person update their own contact info.

Orkut works pretty well, although they are using some embedded ActiveX controls which precludes some of the features from working on anything other than windoze.
